![]() The Houston Symphony announced today important changes regarding several upcoming performances due to repairs to Jones Hall: Andrés Conducts Schumann, Russian Masters and Houston Symphony Presents Garrison Keillor. Due to scheduling and rehearsal conflicts, the originally scheduled program of Andrés Conducts Schumann has been replaced with a new Houston Symphony concert, Beethoven and Piazzola, to take place Friday, September 22 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, September 23 (8 p.m.) at Rice University’s Stude Hall. Led by Andrés Orozco-Estrada, the concerts will feature two beloved works: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol, alongside Piazolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires with guest violinist Leticia Moreno. The Garrison Keillor presentation will now take place at Cullen Performance Hall at the University of Houston. The date and time of the performances remain the same (Monday, September 24, at 7:30 p.m.). The Russian Masters performances will now take place at Rice University’s Stude Hall. Due to scheduling conflicts, the Sunday, October 1 performance, originally scheduled for 2:30 p.m., will now take place at 7:30 p.m. on the same day. All other concert details remain the same. Due to the flooding at Jones Hall, the Patron Services Center has been relocated to a temporary space.
